A lovely canal side stretch followed by a bit of noisy road which was worth it when we turned off onto lovely rolling hills. A well deserved pint in the Rowbarge followed.

What a ride! Mapped it out at 24 miles & it turned out to be 28, my furthest for some months.

A fairly flat ride this week for a change but a good test of riding skills on some quite slippery sections. Managed to take a wrong turn but enjoyed the circle by the Mill Brook nonetheless.

Contrary to the elevation profile, there's no deep ravine between Hagbourne & Moreton, just level ground. There is however a lot of encroaching vegetation, nettles, hawthorn etc. when you leave Hagbourne so cover up. Mud tyres essential in the wet season, had to clear mine with a stick as the mud was acting as a brake.
