Þórsmörk (Thorsmörk) is one of Iceland's most spectacular hiking areas. The nature reserve is located in the southern highlands between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull and Tindfjallajökull and is often referred to as the "Thor's Valley".

Reykjadalur (German: "Steam Valley") is one of Iceland's most popular natural bathing destinations. The valley is located above Hveragerði, about 40 to 45 km from Reykjavík, and is known for its naturally warm river where you can bathe.
Due to the weather, we only made it to Djúpagilsfoss... it was still beautiful 🇮🇸

Þingvellir National Park is located about 40 km northeast of Reykjavík and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2004. The Alþingi, one of the oldest parliaments in the world, was founded there around 930 AD. Furthermore, the border between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates runs here

A nice little walk over a muddy meadow path. The odd stream also needs to be crossed. The waterfall is, in my humble opinion, among the Top 10 in Iceland.

Final stage from Neuastenberg to Neheim. Unfortunately, we couldn't go up the Stüppelturm because the gate was locked. However, the paragliders present were almost even more spectacular. Otherwise, a wonderful tour with great views! A worthy conclusion 💪🏻

Today, with temperatures between 10-13 degrees and some rain showers, we went to Neuastenberg. Unfortunately, the Rothaarsteig has lost some of its charm due to the wild boar fences and (many!) gates. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful tour

Otherwise, a nice tour with intense sunshine... each of us consumed almost 3 liters of water and sweated out what felt like double that amount 😉
