A relatively long day on the tops.
We got the bus 18 to Ayacata then went a longer way round the back up to Roque Nublo. Then straight over to the highest point of the island @Pico des las Nieves. Then back down to Cruz Grande to get the bus 18 back down.
Highly recommend a good weather day for the route

From Cruz Grande we followed the S60 trail which stays on a nice high traverse until dropping down to the southern end of the reservoir. After crossing Dam wall we then headed back north- east via Los Cercados and the cave houses in Morro de Santiago. Then the traverse on the S82 back to Cruz grande

Hired some mountain bikes in Maspalomas to do this half day trip

This is a pretty long hike from the centre of La Aldea to Mt Inagua (1426m) then back via the abandoned Casas Inagua then down a tiny track fill using the gorge coming back via Caldereta. 4 hours / 15 km up to the tops, then almost another 4 down. Surprisingly chilly on the tops and not a soul in sight all day. Great walk.

Pretty good day hike from La Aldea to (almost) Mt Viso. Followed the S73 trail via el Hoyo to Tasarte lookout which is nice enough. Then a nice climb / traverse to the plateau of Mt Viso. Views on the way down to La Aldea are nice. Nice intro to my much longer walk the next day to Mt Inagua.

The first 25km are off road on quite rideable gravel - then from Cracoe we followed the Yorkshire dales cycle way into burnsall then back country lanes back to Ilkley.,

One of my favourite off road winter rides out of Leeds. Got the early train out of Leeds to Settle, then a slow & steady 50 km to Ilkley from where I got the train back to Leeds. The first 80% of the route to Bolton Abbey is all off road but all pretty much rideable and not a bogfest. Beautiful mix of
