Today we were in the Kinzig valley, more precisely in Haslach.
There is a forest and adventure trail near the forest lake.
In sunshine ☀️ and cool temperatures we completed the entire path. From spring to autumn it probably has additional information boards about the forest, but these were missing and only the stands and brackets were there. But otherwise a great family and children's path that is not too long and offers a few adventure stations along the way. Unfortunately, there is no station after the highest point, but there are only narrow forest paths.
A great path that is highly recommended 😊👍🏻

So that we can still get some exercise today, we have considered the instant round in BAD-Neuweier. Is a nice round across the vineyards around Neuweier.
However, we didn't start with the winegrowers' cooperative but a little further up. A great little round, but we stopped shortly before the shared apartment due to the onset of darkness and walked back. The route is mostly paved. In between there is a small path down and the path on the Mauerberg along the wine terraces is fantastic. The weather in the valley was soup again today, but we're used to that 😋.
But the route is beautiful and recommendable.

Today we did a great snowshoe hike. We dared and got to the Feldberg before 10 a.m. Unfortunately, we didn't come up with this idea alone 😕😏, but the others wanted to hit the slopes and we wanted to go snowshoeing. The plan then worked, because there were only a few hikers on the way and so we trudged off. The weather became more and more modest and the indicated -2 ° felt like -10 ° due to the strong wind (especially on the Seebuck above and on the Feldberg summit). Well, we only saw the next sign for the snowshoe route on the route from the Seebuck up to the Feldberg summit. Unfortunately, the pictures are deceiving. They still look good! The motivation was only maintained by the sledge descent from the Todtnauer Hütte down towards Fahl. And here we were rewarded with good visibility and a 3.5 km descent. The bus then went back to the Feldbergerhof.
All in all, a great trip with a great route. You can't do anything for the weather.

Happy New Year to everyone who reads here.
At the beginning of the year, when the weather was much too warm, made a nice little tour in Sasbachwalden on January 1st: the Schnapsbrunnenweg 1. This is the smaller of the two Schnapsbrunnenweg with start and finish at the Kurhaus in Sasbachwalden and a length of approx. 7.5km. Great route with the Gaishöll waterfalls at the beginning and then 5 schnapps fountains with schnapps or liqueurs, along the vines. Most schnapps fountains also offer wine, beer or non-alcoholic drinks. The selection of the more high-proof things was very varied and delicious 😋. But we only tried a few.
Tip: If you are out in a small group: take some 1 or 2 euro coins with you. There is usually no change because the cheeses of the schnapps fountains are locked.
Very nice, easy and recommendable tour.
The next time there is Schnapsbrunnenweg 2, which runs south of Sasbachwalden and is a little longer.

Today we went snowshoeing in the snow. A little lap around the Schliffkopf. Unfortunately I forgot to stop in the end. Is there still some road left 🤭
The weather forecast was snowfall - we had fog. When we finished it was snowing.
Due to the forecast that it should be warm, we wanted to savor the snow a little longer and were rewarded ❄😊.
We just walked a bit on the 1000m path and then turned onto the snowshoe route to the Schliffkopf. The visibility wasn't great, but otherwise everything was fine, at -2 °.
If the snow remains, we can do the complete tour from the Ruhestein to the Schliffkopf.

Today we went into the snow as planned, in the hope that there wasn't so much going on and we were lucky. There were a few tobogganists at the Ruhestein, but there was very little traffic around the back to the Darmstädter Hütte. On the way back we were parallel to the B500. This is the signposted route from the Ruhestein to the hut. There was a bit more going on, but it was not too bad. Great little tour with lots of snow and sledding ☃️.
The weather could have been better, but if there was precipitation, then only in the form of snow ❄🌨 and that's possible 😊.

Today finally hike again 🤗
Children really wanted to go to the Hornisgrinde and the Mummelsee ... and then it started.
We just didn't consider that there was already the first snow and so the really nice hike turned into a snow hike 🥾❄☃️.
The weather was great and luckily there was only a little more public traffic at Mummelsee.
