View of Criccieth Castle

Highlight • Viewpoint

A great viewpoint with fantastic views looking out over at Criccieth castle, the Snowdonia mountain range and Cardigan bay. Moel-y-Gest's craggy top near Porthmadog looks particularly lovely from here.

David Lloyd George's Grave

Highlight • Historical Site

The grave of the Welsh-born British Prime Minister who was in office 1916-1922. He was a wartime leader and reformer of the welfare state.
Lloyd George was also a non-conformist, hence he's not buried in a cemetery.

Highlight • Trail

This lovely stretch of boardwalk wends its way alongside the Dwyfor River as it turns into an estuary. You can see Criccieth to the east and the isolated, craggy hills beyond, rising like sentinels.
