Federal Chancellery Berlin
The Federal Chancellery is a building in the Tiergarten district of Berlin (Mitte district) and the seat of the German federal authority of the same name. As part of the German federal government's move from Bonn to Berlin, the office moved into the new building planned by the architects Axel Schultes and Charlotte Frank. The building is part of the building group called “Band des Bundes” in the Spreebogen, Willy-Brandt-Straße 1, 10557 Berlin.

The Berlin Wall Trail runs along here and reminds us of those times. History was and is written here.

In my opinion, Helmut Kohl's washing machine is anything but beautiful. This entire government block on the Spree bend is a complete disaster made of steel, lots of glass and lots of concrete.
Designed by the architects Axel Schultes and Charlotte Frank during the term of office of Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl and built from 1997 to 2001, it was occupied by Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder on May 2, 2001.
