Berlin's Gendarmenmarkt is lined with three monumental buildings: the French Cathedral, the German Cathedral and the Konzerthaus. The French Cathedral stands at the northern end of the square. From the viewing platform under the dome you have a sensational view of the most important sights of the capital. You can find more information and opening hours here: franzoesischer-dom.berlin/de.

French cathedral
The French Cathedral is a monument on Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin's Mitte district. Built by Carl von Gontard in the Baroque style on behalf of Frederick II between 1780 and 1785, it borders the French Church to the east and is opposite the German Cathedral. After being damaged in World War II, the French Cathedral was rebuilt in 1978-1983 true to the original on the outside and modern on the inside. Since 1931 it has been home to the Huguenot Museum.
