The village of Menchakovo is located on the elevated bank of the Irmesi River. In the 18th century, Menchakovo had a wooden church in honor of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, but by the end of the century it had become dilapidated and was dismantled. Instead, with the funds of parishioners and landowners Kashintsevs, in 1795, with the blessing of Victor, Bishop of Suzdal and Vladimir, a stone five-domed church was built in honor of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos. In 1799, two warm chapels with altars were made in this church: in honor of St. and miracle workers. Nicholas and St. Theodore and John, Suzdal miracle workers. The church has a stone bell tower.
