Gut Neuhaus dates back to the remains of a medieval knight's residence, which had been built by the Giekau lords. The current facility was probably built by the Rantzaus, during whose time at least the core of the current manor house was built. In 1732 the estate became the property of the Counts of Hahn after several changes of ownership. The manor buildings were extensively expanded and expanded in the 18th century. The gatehouse was built in 1854. It is a high-quality brick building with rich ornamentation in the Gothic Revival style, which is of no use today, but is important for the courtyard. To the outside, the seven-axis, elongated gatehouse closes the estate with its farmyard. The gate passage lies in the gabled middle risalit of the building, which is otherwise closed off by a hipped roof. The restoration measures were completed in January 2001 after an originally applied concrete roof covering was replaced by a tiled roof covering after the intervention of the German Foundation for Monument Protection and the State Monument Office. In 1999 the German Foundation for Monument Protection participated in the roofing work on the gatehouse.
