Beautiful Viking settlement with many actors. There are, for example, country houses, a market place, many craftsmen, a church and a harbor. There are also various demonstrations. The falconry show is well worth seeing. Everything is also signposted in German.

The Ribe VikingeCenter (not to be confused with the Museet Ribes Vikinger) is an open-air museum in Denmark founded in 1992. It is located about two kilometers south of the center of Ribe, near the village of Lustrup.

On the almost ten square kilometer site there are various buildings and farmsteads that have been reconstructed based on archaeological findings from the Viking Age. A stream runs through the site. A replica of a Viking boat is moored at a landing point. In the entrance area of the museum there is a visitor center with a museum shop that sells books, toys and various handicrafts.

A special feature of the Ribe VikingeCenter in the summer months are the artisans from various places in Europe who show their skills in small tents and sell handicrafts. They refer to themselves as "hobby Vikings". There are also demonstrations by archers and falconers.
The Ribe VikingeCenter is open from the end of April to the end of October. There is a spacious playground for children with a variety of play equipment based on mythical creatures from the Viking Age, such as the Midgard Serpent, Fenris Wolf and the giant Hymir.
