The well-preserved and renovated former Dieterode station building is located at railway kilometer 16.1. The hiking trail leads directly past the building; when the railway was in operation, platform 2 ran along the other side of the station building.
The station building, which is over 100 years old, is now inhabited again and is privately owned.

The train station in Dieterode will be 107 years old this year and only lived a short period from 1914 to 1947. For a long time the area had a wonderful view of the valley and thus of the "Schöne Aussicht" or as far as Pfaffschwende has no owner.
