Rifugio Lagazuoi is located on the summit of Mount Lagazuoi, above the Falzarego Pass, between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Val Badia. Situated at an altitude of 2752 meters, it is the highest refuge in Ampezzo. It boasts a magnificent panoramic terrace overlooking a true ocean of peaks, from the Cunturìnes to the Cime di Fànes, the mighty Tofane, the Odle, and the shining Marmolada.

Taking the cable car to the top of Lagazui is a real experience. It goes almost vertically up the rock face and you can sometimes see the tunnels that the soldiers had dug into the rock during the mountain war. At the summit you have a fantastic view in all directions.

The Lagazuoi refuge is an Alpine refuge located on the Lagazuoi massif, in the Eastern Dolomites of Badia, at an altitude of 2,752 m above sea level. It is located on the top of the Piccolo Lagazuoi, in a very panoramic position overlooking numerous Dolomite peaks, including Cunturines, Cime di Fanes, Tofane, Odle and Marmolada.

Remarkable panoramic point. We are in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites. Very crowded, also due to the ease of reaching it by cable car. The route to reach it through the Kaiserjagerweg and the descent through the Italian tunnel is noteworthy. The memories of the Great War are impressive.

Interesting tour over the Kaiserjägersteig high and back through the tunnels.

The Lagazuoi is a zweigipfliger mountain in the fanes group of the Dolomites. The Great Lagazuoi is 2835 m s.l.m. high, the Little Lagazuoi 2778 m. The latter is accessed by a cable car and therefore very popular with half-shoe tourists. The mountain stick is well known for its war tunnels.
