Baron Georg Hannibal Hermann von Hertzberg (February 16, 1817 in Heuckewalde, † January 5, 1905 in Dresden) was a German politician, member of the provincial parliament of the province of Saxony and manor owner.
He came from the Thuringian noble family von Hertzberg (later called Herzenberg), who had been raised to the status of barons, and was the son of the Prussian major, monastery director and manor owner Hannibal von Hertzberg.
After his father left the Prussian provincial parliament at the beginning of 1853 as a representative of the knighthood of the Naumburg-Zeitz monastery, he took over his seat in the state parliament. At the same time, his father had left the Heuckewalde manor with Hermsdorf in the district of Zeitz to him. His two deputies were the manor owner von Haugk zu Silbitz in the district of Zeitz and Count von der Schulenburg on Zangenberg zu Beetzendorf in the Altmark.
In the last years of his life he turned his back on the Kingdom of Prussia and settled in Dresden, the capital of Saxony, where he died at the age of 88.
On June 30, 1853 he married Agnes, née von Heynitz, from the Heynitz family near Meissen. From this marriage came the son Hannibal Ehrenreich Ernst, born in Heuckewalde in 1854, who called himself Freiherr von Herzenberg.
His estate is now managed as part of the Heuckewalde estate archive in the Saxony-Anhalt State Archive at the Wernigerode site.
