Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert (Dutch: Sint-Hubertusgalerij, also Koninginnegalerij or Galerie de la Reine) is a shopping arcade in Brussels. The Passage opened in 1847, together with the passage in St. Petersburg (opened in 1848) and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan (opened in 1867) had a great influence on the later design of shopping arcades.

The galleries are 230 metres long and 8 metres high. They house various shops, cafés and eateries, as well as the MLM - Museum of Letters and Manuscripts. In the south, the Queen's Gallery ends at the Grasmarkt near the Grand Place.
The galleries are located in the Ilot Sacré district. They were designed in 1837 by the young architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar, born in Kampen, and built in 1846. The name comes from the former Sint-Hubertusstraat which ran from the Grasmarkt to the Beenhouwersstraat.
On 1 March 1896, the first film screening in Belgium took place here in a room of the newspaper La Chronique, presented by the Lumière brothers.

First shopping gallery of this type in Europe - probably thanks to proverbially "great" Belgian weather.

Especially a good place to be when it rains outside. Although I must admit that the weather in Brussels has improved a lot in the last 20 years. At least for tourists - it seems to be raining less and less lately.

Thanks to global warming, I suppose?
