As the eldest son from Hölzleberg, Alfons Gmeiner renounced his wife Hedwig's farm inheritance for health reasons. As a result, Alfons and Hedwig Gmeiner built a house with a small animal barn on the “Stiegmättle” meadow land in 1965.

Agriculture is still a sideline to this day. These include:
Forestry, firewood, Christmas trees, fir branches, fine spirits and honey.

Over the years the area used for agriculture and forestry has grown to 10 hectares. Over the years Alfons and Hedwig have laboriously planted and looked after fruit and fir trees. What you can look back on with pride today.

The sale of Christmas trees in the eastern part of Offenburg began in 1965 with his father Emil. The direct marketing of fine schnapps was also started very early and great importance was always attached to the high quality.

Our own beekeeping is still carried out with great passion, which at times was over 50 colonies. Today Joachim and his family continue to run the farm as a sideline.

With a new tasting room and the Schnapshiesli, direct marketing is being expanded. With your support as a customer of our products, you make a significant contribution to keeping nature open in the Durbach Mountains.
