    In the Studerbildschacht, the Karlsruher speleological research group conducts research in a 50 meter deep natural shaft in the sandstone. The Studerbildschacht was accidentally discovered in 1916 when picking blueberries. The cave was created by the special tectonic conditions in the area of ​​the Upper Rhine Graben. He has in 22 meters depth only an opening of about 30 x 50 cm. The largest room in the Studerbildschacht is called Pfälzer Halle and measures a size of 5 meters long, 3 meters high and one meter wide.
