A very beautiful gorge hike, which in the upper (southern) section includes several ladders, walkways, and suspension bridges. Those with good stamina or who want to do a multi-day hike can continue via the Refuge du Ras de la Carança to the main Pyrenees ridge (Pic de l'Inferno, Bastiments).

Signposted parking lot right at the entrance to the gorge. In summer you have to pay and it's probably still full. At the end of September the parking machines were taped up. The kiosk was still open. Separate parking spaces for campers.

This is probably the most spectacular part of the gorge path. The path is blasted into the rock, which overhangs far here. It goes down almost vertically. Wide enough to walk, but a basic level of head for heights is definitely helpful. 😉

There's even a warm waterfall here! Since the stream originates above, the water isn't quite as warm as in the pools 100 meters ahead (to the west). However, even hotter water flows from the rocks at the side, so a (shallow) pool below also gets quite warm. Unfortunately, the paths here near the waterfall are difficult to access and overgrown with bushes.

There are actually two warm swimming pools in the forest, where you would never expect them without a map. When I came by at the beginning of October, it was still full in the evening! I went on to the waterfall, and on the way back there was still a group there by candlelight in the dark. You need sturdy shoes for the paths and a lamp in the evening too!

A very wobbly suspension bridge, but it is secured with a net. The only one on the classic circular route, in the section further up there are several more in combination with footbridges.
