The gate marks the entrance to Grosshansdorf Cemetery. It is a beautiful poplar avenue that leads to the small, modern cemetery chapel. The avenue exudes calm. Something you can use at the moment.

Not only the clinic is great, but also this park with the Manhagen pond

Schmalenbeck pond / Groten Diek Unfortunately, the many greylag geese with their droppings repeatedly upset the ecological balance of the water. It is a soft, refreshing rippling sound that now and then finds its way into the ears of the walkers on the Groten Diek. If you look out at the Schmalenbecker pond, you will discover the cause roughly in the middle: a mini fountain that wasn't always there. It raises the water by barely 30 centimetres, but that's how it serves its purpose. Because this is not about decoration. The fountain is medicine for the Groten Diek. If it is warm for a longer period of time, the pond may not get enough oxygen. What can happen in such a case, the community had to experience in the past with suffering. "There the pike and the pike-perch drifted up the keel". The commercially available pump in the middle of the pond should prevent something like this from happening again with little effort. Beautiful paths by the pond for hiking and cycling.

Unfortunately, on July 7th, 1978 the old Parkhotel Manhagen was blown up. It's a shame you couldn't get it. Only the old entrance is left.

Also very idyllic - the direct circumnavigation of the pond is rather something for the cyclocross;)
