Anyone who travels a lot by bike should also cycle on the railway embankment. In summer it is pleasantly cool and it is also very easy to drive here. Is recommended.😊😊

One might think that Stormarn would have a bike expressway there - if it weren't for the tricky side streets. The locking grilles are well-intentioned, but not well-done. I got caught on one with the handlebars and almost fell. The right-of-way rules at these intersections should be reconsidered. The train used to have the right of way everywhere - one could have left it that way.

Wonderfully developed bike path that is just fun. No cars, lots of break benches & covered spaces

The whole route is great to drive. Also in the summer when the sun is burning because there are many shades.

Route B: Royal Prussian State Railway Line between Bad Oldesloe and Trittau Length: 22 km Opening of the railway line: August 1, 1887 Closing of the railway line: May 30, 1976 Conversion as a cycle path: around 1990 From Bad Oldesloe, Route B leads via Rümpel, Rolfshagen, Barkhorst, Mollhagen, Sprenge, Dwerkaten, and Grönwohld to Trittau. The BahnRadWege Route B of the Royal Prussian State Railway line Bad Oldesloe - Trittau is 22 km long, the section here includes the sandy path on the former railway embankment between Rümpel and Rohlfshagen. The railway line was opened on August 1, 1887 and used until May 30, 1976, before being expanded into a cycle path in the 1990s.
