Castle located in a beautiful small village.

The Château de Valon has watched over the Truyère gorges since the 11th century but suffered after the Revolution, when it was abandoned and used as a stone quarry (like many other châteaux).

Small chapel in the magnificent Goul valley, built on a ridge, on a site that has remained very wild. Formerly, it was dedicated to Saint Anne, who cured jaundice.

The castle is planted on the heights of Carladez and Aubrac, from where there is a breathtaking view of the Gorges de la Truyère. The site can be visited freely.

Small village which is a good start for mountain bike trails, in particular the classic tour of the peaks of the Château de Valon, a must-see just a few kilometers away. Public toilets in the village, restaurant and small grocery store.

Large forest, which spreads out from the village of Murols, where eight generations of blacksmiths have succeeded each other! Forest tracks, paths, and beautiful viewpoints over the Goul valley.
