Salers is a municipality in the Cantal department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The town is a completely preserved small town from the Renaissance period, with private and public buildings, city walls, defensive towers and a church. At an altitude of 1,588 meters, the Pas de Peyrol is located between the Puy Mary and the Puy de la Tourte.
