The village center of Billigheim is at the town hall and St. Martin's Church. Here you'll find a bakery, a bank, an ice cream parlor, and the bus stop.

This church is visible from afar with its baroque dome! "The choir from the 14th century is also an art-historical gem, because its ribbed vault houses very impressive Gothic wall paintings from around 1400. [...] The depictions - the wall paintings were only discovered in 1892 - turned out to be in part an educational teaching aid for the believers or churchgoers of the services of that time to learn by heart and memorize. For example, the earliest known depiction of the 'Our Father' has been preserved in the Billigheim church, a cultural-historical treasure." “The Billigheimer Purzelmarkt takes place here every year on the third Sunday in September – the oldest folk festival in the Palatinate. The road is not paved, but it is easy to drive on.

A station on the Stork Hiking Trail, see https://storchenwanderweg.de/ Here you can cool your feet in the Kneipp pool, there are also benches. From these you can also watch a stork's nest. Next door is an information board with a pile of stones and a barefoot path. Well done and very popular with families. Well attended even during the week.
