The parish church of St. Valerius was built in the 13th century as a Romanesque church and expanded in the Gothic architectural style. It has a beautiful altar and ceiling paintings in the canopy.

St. Valerius Wanderath On January 1st, 2022, the parishes of St. Dionysius Kirchwald, St. Quirinus Langenfeld and St. Valerius Wanderath merged into today's parish of Langenfeld St. Jodokus. Until the middle of the 19th century, the town of Wanderath consisted only of a church, vicarage, school and a residential building. From 1913 onwards, a Roman villa rustica was excavated on the site below the vicarage by the then priest Schneider. A Roman grave was also found in the 1950s. Saint Valerius, patron of the parish church, was one of the first bishops of Trier. The church has been rebuilt five times over the years. Definitely worth a visit

In 2005, the Steinbüchel Landscape Park was built south of the village. The existing pine forest was thinned, a Cretan labyrinth made of domestic beech trees was created and an old quarry was uncovered. This is secured by a parapet wall made of quarry stone. In the past quarry stone was used here, e.g. broken for stables, hence this place got its name, Steinbüchel. On the grounds of the small park you can also find kaules, holes in the ground in which beets and potatoes were hidden during World War II. There are also many wooden sculptures, some of which are well hidden, that were created at events with chainsaw carvers. There is also a small slide with a swing near many benches and tables, as well as a hut. Especially in corona times, you automatically keep your distance here, as each seating set is surrounded by hedges and stands a little apart from the next.
