오늘날까지 보존된 성벽의 북쪽 문은 1299년에서 1354년 사이에 지어진 뫼네 강변의 다리문(Brückentor)입니다. 이 문은 뫼네 강을 건너는 것을 보호했으며 주로 코블렌츠 방향에서 오는 도시 입구로 사용되었기 때문에 „코블렌츠 문“(Koblenzer Tor)이라는 이름도 가지고 있습니다. 쇠창살을 위한 벽 틈의 흔적이 없기 때문에, 문을 보호하기 위해 뫼네 강의 다리 기둥으로 이어지는 도개교가 사용되었을 것으로 추정됩니다. 1598년 홍수로 인해 다리문은 앞문과 함께 무너졌습니다. 그러나 1599년이라는 새겨진 숫자는 다리문이 불과 1년 후 다시 재건되었음을 증명합니다. 19세기 초부터 1855년까지 다리문은 감옥으로 사용되었습니다. 1911년에 추가된 도시 문장은 오늘날까지 볼 수 있습니다. 출처: Jonas Breithaupt, 코블렌츠-란다우 대학교, 2015

The name **“AltenerTempelchen”** can be traced back to a historical field name. In the field name register, it is recorded as *“AltenerTempelchen”* (dialectally *Aldena Tämbelche*) and originally referred to the small lookout hut on the sunny side of Alten above the Nette valley. The hut owes its popular nickname to its characteristic, temple-like roof construction.

The Brückentor (Bridge Gate) is one of Mayen's few remaining medieval city gates and once served as the most important entrance for travelers coming from Koblenz. Today, this historic building houses the Mayen Carnival Museum, which brings the city's long tradition of "Faasenaacht" (Carnival Night) to life.

The tunnel was part of the Maifeld Railway, a branch line of the Eifelquerbahn (Eifel Cross Railway), which was closed in the 1980s. Today, the tunnel is integrated into the Maifeld Cycle Path, which runs along former railway lines in the Maifeld region. The tunnel is paved and illuminated, making it attractive for both cyclists and hikers.

Nice climbing park that you can definitely do and have fun doing it. But there are also problems: Reservations: only possible online on site. But if it doesn't work online, THEN it works like this too. Instructions: given, you need perfect pitch for the summary that follows, as it is presented so quietly and mumbly. 90% of people won't have understood it. Supervision: not given. Participants had real problems in places, but people (presumably participants' companions) on the ground helped. No sign of staff. The park itself is really good, but you should know what you're doing - safety equipment or not.
