The Wallholland Windmill was built in 1861 and is still well preserved. A plaque about the mill's history is located directly next to the mill.

Beautiful old railway bridge from 1925. Reinforced with concrete, it is still in use.

You can eat very well in the old mill. In summer, the beer garden is a great place to relax. The landlord and the staff are very friendly.

I had looked in vain for a place to have a lunch break for myself and my bike battery in the center of Sprenge. By asking around, I was told about the "Alte Mühle" and went there. The inn, which serves Greek and local dishes, not only has excellent cuisine, but the staff is also very courteous. So I was able to charge my battery there during the break without any problems. Next to the inn there is not only a memorial plaque for the former owner, but also an ancient oak tree, the trunk of which has an estimated circumference of between 3 and 4 m. Even though it is a few meters away from the Wittekindsroute, it is still a very worthwhile destination!

The Werburg Museum is always worth a visit, especially for children. The cafe serves home-made cakes at reasonable prices on Sundays.

The Werburg Museum Spenge is an archaeological museum housed in the Werburg manor house in Spenge. The buildings are very well preserved. There are several places to sit outside for a break.
