The structure stretches over the railway tracks in a sweeping arch. It is made of large sandstone blocks. The Ravensberg coat of arms with the three rafters adorns the keystone on the southern side of the bridge, the coat of arms of the Prince-Bishopric of Minden with the two crossed keys adorns the keystone on the northern side of the bridge. A wrought iron railing spans the entire length of the bridge on both sides. The “New Mill” railway bridge is a special feature of the Rödinghausen community’s monuments in that it is still completely unchanged in its original state. If you want to reach this tower by bike, you have to pedal hard because the paths are really steep from all directions. Especially the forest paths because there are a lot of stones there and it is difficult to get to the top. There are tables and garden benches next to the observation tower. I think the surroundings are beautiful and quiet, but the view from the observation platform is not good at all because the trees around the tower have grown too high. There is no door on the tower and you can always walk on it.
