The Kesselbrink bike and skate park is the largest inner-city skate park in Germany. Since the redesign of the Kesselbrink in 2013, it has been a central youth meeting place in the city.

The Jakobsberg, popularly known as Leberblümchenberg, is a nature reserve with a size of 47.3 hectares in the Amshausen district of the municipality of Steinhagen (Westphalia) in the district of Gütersloh. It is listed with the number GT-015 and consists of two adjoining individual areas that are privately owned. The nature reserve is plant-geographically significant because it represents the north-western limit of the distribution area of the endangered liverwort in Europe. In addition, it is a location of unspoilt low and medium forest. When the liverworts are in bloom from mid-March, the area is a heavily frequented tourist attraction. At the same time, several species of violets bloom at the edge of the forest. A little later, large numbers of white and occasionally yellow wood anemones bloom. The cowslip blooms in April. The path is now quite demolished for several reasons (drought, bark beetles and MTB riders), i.e. the roots protrude excessively from the ground, the path is steep and full of "scree", the path is also overgrown with blackberries and Nettles or is partially exposed because the trees have been felled. I've been driving through it every now and then for 5 years: I don't really have to have it anymore.

Everything cut down now and just plain dreary.

The "Ramp Park" has been removed and leveled! Tree trunks were laid across the former routes. I guess that the ramps were not built with permission and prior consultation with the owner ...

If everything were destroyed, trees are now closed and everything was flattened with an excavator :(
