The company has been part of the German Meyer shipyard group since 2014. Meyer Turku also stands for the German Meyer Turku GmbH, based in Papenburg. This company is the parent company for the shipyard in Rauma and other associated companies. The shipyard in Turku-Perno, with an area of 144 hectares, is one of the largest in Europe. The dry dock is 365 meters long. In addition to large cruise ships of the post-Panamax class, ferries are also built here. The company made a name for itself with the construction of the Allure of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world at the time.

In Finland, in areas with more traffic, the cycle paths are always separate, and tunnels offer a safe way to cross large roads in many places. The cycle paths on the Archipelago Road are of the highest quality and perfectly asphalted - it doesn't get any better than this. It is worth taking a non-direct route, as in this example, as it leads to quiet and interesting districts (Kultaranta, where the Finnish Presidency's summer house is located).

The Livonsaaren Cooperative Shop & Café (Livonsaaren Osuuskauppa ja kahvila) is a very nice shop run by a young team, which also serves as the village's living room. I felt very comfortable there on two tours. The shop has a good selection of basic groceries, men and women can find household goods and fresh local products, arts and crafts, postcards and gift items. Wonderful pastries, fine coffee and local handicrafts await, there is a toilet, water tap, a wonderful terrace surrounded by flowers, which makes the morning coffee a pleasure. Every day 9:00-19:00 Winter Monday-Saturday 10:00-18:00.
