Moliceiro is a boat that travels along the Ria de Aveiro, a lagoon region of the Vouga River. A typical boat from the Aveiro region. Length 15 metres, beam 2.50 metres. These boats were originally used to collect moliço, but are currently used more for tourist purposes. It is one of the symbols of Aveiro, along with Ovos Moles and the University of Aveiro. Among the typical boats of the region, the moliceiro is considered the most elegant; despite its colourful and humorous decoration, it is a work boat for collecting moliço, which was the main source of fertiliser on the agricultural lands of Aveiro.

Most of the route runs on wooden footbridges. Everything is flat and easy to walk. Beautiful landscape of the Aveiro estuary. There are tons of birds to see.
