According to the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU), this is one of the few significant populations of the common pasque flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris) in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and therefore particularly worthy of protection. Since 2006, volunteers have been ensuring that the nutrient-poor grasslands remain free of unwanted vegetation that would displace the pasque flower.

That's true, I ride on the cycle path from Bergen to Sassnitz and back via Mukran and then towards Sassnitz.
