Beautiful forests (especially in autumn!) alternate with vast heaths. Nice paths to gravel over; from hard sand paths to gravel and cobblestone roads.

What a beautiful area. Just after sunrise it is magical. The serene peace and the vast heathland... a new favorite place in Drenthe for me.

Nice addition, this jetty. From the jetty you have a beautiful view over the fen and into the clear water.

It is a beautiful, quiet nature reserve full of winding paths. Suddenly you come to the long jetty over the skating pond De Wite Mar. Dogs can cool off in the water in warm weather.
