The white plastered, neo-classical country house dates from 1829 and is now available for rent as a unique location for business meetings and small-scale cultural events such as meetings, brainstorming sessions, training courses, education, lunches and dinners. It is owned by Stichting FB Oranjewoud and has the status of national monument.

In 2022, a pair of storks built the nest on the tree trunk at the entrance to De Overtuin. The birds seem to pay little attention to the visitors to De Overtuin and show themselves every now and then, clacking loudly, a beautiful sight and sound!
