A firm gravel, car-free path right next to the canal. It's a lovely ride and shady in the summer.

It's a shame it's not a pleasant bike path. The unpaved surface isn't ideal with a full load of luggage.

Beautiful path along the floodplains that is easy to ride even in wet conditions. This path is also used a lot by hikers.

The Let de Stigterpad contains some of the most beautiful and well-known gravel strips of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. From Maarn to Rhenen you cycle on hardpack gravel through forests and over narrow paths between heathlands. Then through open meadows and past a beautiful castle. The Let de Stigterpad is named after the first chair of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park: Let de Stigter for her efforts around the realization of the National Park. It can be busy here, especially on nice weekend days, so mind your speed.

Sorry, another line through my plan. I really can't ride my tricycle on narrow unpaved cycle paths. There are enough bumps and holes in paved roads that make it difficult for me.

Great bike path, only they have to replace those annoying fences with a pole, then you don't have to get off at an oncoming vehicle
