The memorial in Leek (municipality of Westerkwartier) is a sculpture consisting of 32 black metal beams that lie on top of each other and are staggered. This construction creates a V-shape. The memorial is over 4 meters high. The beams are 12 centimeters high and 12 centimeters wide. The V-shape of the monument symbolizes resistance and freedom.
