This mill is definitely worth a visit. An impressive oil and corn mill. Oil milling demonstrations are regularly given. It is definitely worth seeing. The website shows on which days it takes place.

The oldest part of the church is the rectangular chancel, built in the early 13th century. This part still has four pointed arch windows. There are also two bricked-up priest's entrances in the north and south walls. The chancel is straight and decorated with two closed round-arch windows and three white, climbing round-arch niches in the gable. A buttress was also placed against the chancel to prevent it from sinking. The tower is several decades younger and is characterized by large wall anchors.

The area of De Onlanden is located in the north of Drenthe, near the city of Groningen, and is approximately 2500 hectares in size. The Coendersborg in Nuis was created by merging the Fossemaheerd, Harkemaplaats and Heringheplaats. The current borg was built in 1813 on the site of the former Fossemaheerd. In 1534, Hemko IJpens Harkema, sworn judge in the western part of Vredewold, became the owner of the Ooster Fossemaheerd through an exchange with Sywert Fossuma.
