Is it just me or is this segment the wrong way round in the GPS, shouldn't it be a west to east direction?

The Gebr. Remmerde mill is a unique one; it has a hexagonal shape. These mills are very rare in the Netherlands. Today, fewer than ten remain. The mill is no longer in use, but the current owner – the Remmerde family – offers guided tours.

Beautiful, especially to drive around it and certainly not through it.

The Gebroeders Remmerde mill is an exceptional mill. There are only 8 examples left in the Netherlands. The mill stands on a high brick base and is covered with roofing felt. Hexagonal mills are not very common in the Netherlands: in 2008 there were eight in total.

Loevestein Castle is located in a unique place, where the Maas and the Waal meet. It is situated in the Fortress Triangle, between the historic cities of Gorinchem, Woudrichem and Zaltbommel and forms a hub of culture and nature. Loevestein is located on the border of three provinces - Gelderland, Noord-Brabant and Zuid-Holland - and is part of the municipality of Zaltbommel.
