You can't miss it, right in the heart of Middelburg's beautiful old town. Here, the imposing tower of Lange Jan Abbey rises proudly above Middelburg's many monuments. The climb isn't to be missed either. The climb is a bit strenuous—207 steps to be exact—but the view is more than worth it. The Lange Jan Tower is 90.5 meters high (it's one of the ten tallest towers in the Netherlands). On clear days, you can even see the surrounding Zeeland islands from Lange Jan.
