🛥 Route & General Experience • The tour usually departs from Zierikzee or Sint-Annaland, but departure from Nes on Ameland is often offered – for example, with the MS Zeehond. • The destination is the Oosterschelde, a protected area with numerous sandbanks where seals settle to rest. • The round trip usually lasts 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on the tide, weather, and the chosen route.

A very beautiful mill on the outskirts of Veere. The mill in Veere is called De Koe and is located at Warwijcksestraat 16 in Veere. It is located on the former mill bastion in the west of Veere. It is a gallery mill from 1909, which was in operation until 1964. The mill was commissioned by Jacob Willem Markusse after his old mill, dating from 1736, burned down in 1907. One of the peninsula's most beautiful cycle paths starts here in Dishoek. It essentially runs from Vlissingen all the way up to Domburg, with short breaks in the villages in between. It goes through forests (cool in summer!), dunes, a lake, and even directly along the dike. Avoid rush hour on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays. This isn't a good idea, especially with children. At any other time, you can enjoy truly wonderful rides with young and old. The return journey can be made inland, where everything is also crisscrossed by cycle paths. The highlight is located in Dishoek – right next to a bicycle shop where you can get quick assistance, have a pump at the ready, and park a few meters away.
