The St. Maartensbrug is a bridge over the city harbor in Goes. The bridge is located within the built-up area, at the end of the Oostsingel, and connects the Grote Kade with the Kleine Kade. There is no VHF radio at the St. Maartensbrug. This bridge is operated locally. Between April 15th and October 15th, you can request bridge operation from the harbor master of the Stadshaven Foundation. You can find his contact details at www.stadshavengoes.nl/contact. The Stadshaven (City Harbor) of Goes is a historic marina in the center of Goes, Zeeland. Originally, this harbor served as a trading port, transporting products such as beer and peat by water. The street names surrounding the harbor, such as Bierkade (Bier Quay) and Turfkade (Turf Quay), recall these trading activities. Since 1974, the Stadshaven has served as a marina and offers a picturesque mooring for pleasure boats. The harbor is connected to the Oosterschelde National Park, the largest national park in the Netherlands, via the Goese Sas canal. Historic buildings surround the harbor, including 't Soepuus, a former tidal watermill. The quay walls of the Stadshaven have been designated a national monument, adding to the area's historic charm.

The Sint Maartensbrug is a drawbridge over the city harbour in Goes, in the Dutch province of Zeeland. Several bridges have borne this name. The current bridge has been there since 13 July 1974. Before that, there was a fixed stone bridge (from 1938), a swing bridge and the first known bridge was a double drawbridge. Due to the increasing car traffic, it was decided in the 1930s to build a fixed stone bridge for car traffic. As a result, the harbour lost its function and it subsequently lay as a 'dead pool' in the centre of Goes for forty years. Due to the ever-increasing car traffic, voices were eventually raised to fill in the entire harbour and turn it into a car park. However, the municipality decided otherwise in the early 1970s and wanted to set up the harbour as a marina.
