The runestone is part of the Großheirath community's Stone Legends Trail. The stone legends were created by sculptor Christian Peter Plentz. The artist sees the runestone as a devotional stone. The rune Tir/Teiwaz stands for "God hear me." The rose on the reverse is a symbol of paradise.

The neo-Gothic Ketschendorf Castle is located in the Coburg district of Ketschendorf at the foot of the Buchberg. The Baroness von Stolzenau had it built in the middle of an extensive park at the beginning of the 19th century. The castle is one of the most perfect buildings in the neo-Gothic belt of Coburg and has had nine different owners. From 1956 onwards it was used as a youth hostel, which was closed on December 1, 2010.
