A perfectly positioned bench for admiring sunsets. The climb up here isn't easy, though. The view from here is fantastic. There's even a shelf. Being south-facing, it's also accessible in winter with little snow.

The summit offers wonderful views over the Inn valley and the mountains. Wooden benches and loungers invite you to relax and linger.

The Gratlspitze is Alpbach's local mountain. The striking mountain rises directly above Alpbach's many wooden houses. It is actually not a single peak, but a yoke with several peaks. Seen from below, the mountain seems invincible - the rocks in the summit area are so steep. The hike is not that extreme, but can be viewed as moderately difficult. However, sure-footedness and a head for heights are necessary in the summit area. Three main routes lead from the Alpbachtal up to the summit. Depending on your preference, you can vary the route or turn it into a circular hike.

We recommend. Wonderful all-round view of the surroundings of the Hohe Tauern National Park, with the well-known Großglockner and Großvenediger.
