                    The Gratlspitze is Alpbach's local mountain. The striking mountain rises directly above Alpbach's many wooden houses. It is actually not a single peak, but a yoke with several peaks. Seen from below, the mountain seems invincible - the rocks in the summit area are so steep. The hike is not that extreme, but can be viewed as moderately difficult. However, sure-footedness and a head for heights are necessary in the summit area. Three main routes lead from the Alpbachtal up to the summit. Depending on your preference, you can vary the route or turn it into a circular hike.

                      The fact that the Gratlspitz is popular because of its easy and quick accessibility, its panorama and above all its sunsets and sunrises was also shown all around last night: both the evening and the morning were phenomenal!

                          Wonderful, challenging climb from Alpbach to the Gratlspitze. Alternatively, you can descend from the Kreuz to the Holzalm, directly to Alpbach and on to the Bischoferalm.
