The alpine hut is located just below the dam of the Silvretta reservoir, directly on the popular Silvretta High Alpine Road, and is a popular destination for many cyclists. The products from the hut's own production, such as cheese, butter, bacon and milk, are very popular with many locals, but also with guests. I particularly like the mountain cheese and the homemade bread.

The road is currently closed due to a rockfall. What will happen next has not yet been clarified (as of July 23, 2024). However, the Bielerhöhe can still be reached via Tyrol.
