St. Margaret's is noted for having a leper's window, or a squint, in the chancel's south wall. These small openings were once believed to allow people with contagious diseases to observe the Eucharist without entering the church.

Tiny hidden dale which extends northwards from Lavender Dale. Full of sheep and lambs and very peaceful.

Maintained by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Rifle Butts Quarry was created to provide stone for the construction of the railway line adjacent to the nature reserve. The site was then used as a rifle range from the 1890s to the First World War.

Car park 300m to the west if you don't want to walk all the way from Market Weighton. Steep chalk embankment with meadow underneath. Very scenic and I saw a small flock of jet black Hebridean sheep.

Bench and tiny table with fantastic widescreen view across South Dalton Wold. Ideal for a quick pit stop to rehydrate and refuel. Faces north, so if it is out, you will have the sun behind you illuminating the view.
