One thing immediately stands out: Bodø has a large street art scene. Why? Well, in 2015 Bodø was home to the UpNorth Festival, an urban art festival that first took place (also in 2015) in Sulitjelma and attracted so much attention and interest that the experiment was repeated – also successfully – in Bodø. In and around the center are five main pieces that you shouldn't miss. They are all equally monumental and truly beautiful. There is no particular order in which you need to find them. As long as you know where to find them, you can easily zigzag your way through the exhibition as you like. The Russian street artist Rustam Qbic already managed to impress us all the way back in April of this year with his "Sailor Story" piece, which was created as part of the PUBLIC 2016 festival in Perth, Australia. The talented man recently traveled to Bodø in Norway for the UpNorth Festival. Qbic immortalized himself here again with a truly magnificent mural. Some shots of the artwork entitled "After School", which now adorns the streets of the capital of the province of Nordland in northern Norway, can be viewed right here below. the church is quite modern, plain and matter-of-fact. During World War II, the previous church, like the entire town, was completely destroyed by Wehrmacht soldiers. What an outrage! The church that is now standing is architecturally well done, in my opinion, and fits in well with the cityscape. I experienced absolute stillness in this place and found it very comfortable.

Next to the harbor where the ferries dock and the quays where the big fishing boats moor, this is the marina, where quite a lot of yachts are moored, considering the area you're in. The harbor is protected by a pier, which is a great place to walk. You can also watch the sunset from the vantage point or from a bank in front of it.
