                Oslo City Hall opened in 1950 and is known for the rich decoration of its interiors. The artwork in the large halls and banqueting halls was created by some of Norway's most famous artists.

                The carillon in the tower is an important part of the city's identity. A short piece is played 18 times a day on the hour on the 49 bells. On the first Saturday of the month from September to May, the carillonneur plays a concert at 11 a.m.

                In June, July, and August, the concert takes place every Sunday at 3 p.m.
