The Siemsen Warehouse, visible from afar, towers above the buildings of Eckernförde's inner harbor and has a distinctive character. Built in 1879 as a five-story cube made of yellow brick with an attic and a flat roof, it is distinguished by its façade, pilaster strips and floor-dividing bands. Its numerous storage hatches and the preserved wooden structure of the warehouse floors still bear witness to the function of the former warehouse of the Clausen salt works.

A large section of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route can only be covered on foot, over rocks or sand. This is very strenuous. The cliffs are to be explored at your own risk. The road to Damp is currently closed.

Actually idyllic, but about 20m deep mud in the middle (when taking off shoes) made my wife decide to turn back.
