This spacious parking lot can accommodate many vehicles. There are several picnic tables, a dumpster, a trail map and information about the local nature reserve.

The way from the parking lot is not far and so a detour to the viewpoint is worthwhile if you don't have much time. The view into the largest canyon in Northern Europe is highly recommended.

Those who climb up here will be rewarded with a beautiful view over the gorge and the entire Jutulhogget nature reserve.

A very steep path leads down to the bottom of the gorge.

Archaeological finds in the shores of the 992 m high mountain lake suggest that the Forollsjøen in former times could have been a Sami sacrificial site. Today, the lake is due to its rich trout populations a popular destination for sport fishing. If you want to fish, you must first get a permit (Fiskekort) from the local authorities.
