Unfortunately, the suspension bridge is slightly damaged on one side. Nevertheless, I made it to the other side safely.

Fortunately, the bench in front of the first suspension bridge was free for a break.

From the parking lot, cross the bridge and turn right immediately behind it. Due to construction work, the trailhead is a bit difficult to spot.

The workers who died during the construction work on the Malm Railway/Ofot Railway, mostly from accidents but also from illnesses, are buried at Rallarkyrkogården. The cemetery was established in 1899 and expanded in several stages. The chapel in the cemetery also dates from 1899. In the period up to 1902, around 50 people were buried, including 15 children. The cemetery got its current appearance in 1937. By the time it was closed, 170 people, including 70 children, were buried here. The Midnattsoltrapa requires a bit of perseverance. 2117 wooden steps lead up to the viewing platform. In 2 places, the steps are very steep (about 20 meters long), so that the ascent on these two passages resembles a ladder shape, but the heavy and stable construction ensures a secure hold at all times. A little head for heights and a sure step should be taken with you. However, the view from the platform at around 1600 meters above sea level compensates for the exertion of climbing the stairs. In the summer months, the midnight sun is an additional highlight that can be admired from there by well-rested hikers. From the platform there is still the possibility to take another hiking trail uphill, but we didn't do it. All in all, it's worth a little day trip with the family.
