From the parking lot, cross the bridge and turn right immediately behind it. Due to construction work, the trailhead is a bit difficult to spot.

Istindaksla, a minor peeak (851m) of the much higher Istindan mountain (1489m). Istindaksla can be reached by a marked trail. Some hiking experiance is needed to get here, but the level of difficulty is more like intermediate than hard. Views here are really nice.

Hiking trail marked with red arrows and dots. On top of the mountain it can be cold but you have a nice view over Setermoen and surroundings. There is a mailbox with a "guestbook" you can write something nice in.

A beautiful viewpoint from which you have a good view of the surrounding mountains and Setermoen.

On the last stretch to the summit you hike over the ridge of the Istinden. The path is rocky and quite steep in parts, but if you like scrambling, you will enjoy this section. With a little bit of surefootedness and good physical condition, the path is pretty doable.
